MP Fusion · Proprietary staged R&D investigation methodology

Investigate broadly.
Conclude carefully.
Preserve the trail.

MP Fusion is a proprietary, staged investigation methodology that works with a selected frontier AI to develop alternatives, challenge consequential claims, and preserve why the answer changed.

Frontier AI is the foundation inside the method—not an opponent to defeat. A useful result may be a new relationship, an incremental refinement, a corrected claim, an idea worth reconsidering, or the ordinary answer after it survives scrutiny.

01

The complete product, first

A strong first answer is the foundation—not the finish line.

MP Fusion begins with a capable frontier investigation and develops the work further. It makes alternatives, relationships, qualifications, disagreements, and decisions easier to inspect.

The customer brings a technical objective, relevant constraints, and authorized information. The completed investigation returns one integrated technical position: what was already strong, what else emerged, what Challenge changed, what remains unproved, and what deserves testing next.

02

How a customer may frame the question

Start with the problem. Or start with what you already know.

A customer should not need proprietary method names or a perfect engineering prompt to begin.

A · Open technical challenge

What approaches are worth considering?

Begin with the objective, constraints, and authorized evidence without prescribing a favored solution.

B · Build on shared research

What might we be missing?

Preserve the research a team has chosen to share, then examine refinements, alternatives, and unexpected relationships.

C · Focus on an obstacle

What is blocking progress?

Investigate a bounded technical bottleneck, competing explanations, and the evidence that could separate them.

These are proposed customer-input formats—not three operating modes proven against confidential customer data.

03

One case in plain English

Challenge can restore an idea—not only reject one.

Starting question

How might variable UK waste-carbon streams become repeatable polyols for downstream light-cured manufacturing?

Synthesis

Restricted oil fractionation to cases where whole-oil endpoint control could not repair variability.

Challenge correction

Restored a broader economic comparison: a technically workable whole-oil route may still cost more to correct downstream.

The result is a better comparison for a real materials team—not a claim that fractionation is profitable, that a conforming polyol was produced, or that Photocentric endorsed the work.

Four public-source field exams

Real questions. Reviewable interpretations. Explicit limits.

The sponsor questions were public. The desk investigations used public information, not private customer records.

PF-S001

Industrial instrumentation

YPF

Know the real position of an installed valve

What changed

The completed investigation sharpened the distinction between valve movement, sensor-head identity, mounting changes, assignment, calibration drift, and a genuinely independent physical reference.

PF-S002

Infrastructure recovery

UNDP

Locate hidden underground utilities

What changed

The completed investigation added sharper definitions of what each instrument actually measures, eligible buried-fiber localization, and tests designed to expose overconfident multi-sensor conclusions.

Chemical and materials R&D

Photocentric

Make useful polyols from UK waste carbon

What changed

The completed investigation developed closer photopolymer-related evidence, stronger measurement controls, and more explicit decisions about where purification or isolation might matter.

ADB

Protect produce and vendor value—not just temperature

What changed

The completed investigation added sharper whole-batch handling tests, pack-task commissioning questions, and a crop-specific comparison between vapor buffering and condensate isolation. Discovery B had already found older horticultural analogues and did not assert broad novelty.

These independent desk investigations are unaffiliated with the challenge holders and are not field-validated. Full reports remain private and on publication hold; case-specific limits appear on each detail page.

05

Frontier foundation

Take the ordinary answer seriously.

The frontier investigation is not a token baseline built to lose. It may already identify the best known route.

MP Fusion preserves established mechanisms, practical constraints, quantitative boundaries, source evidence, unresolved assumptions, and strong ideas that appear before the later stages begin.

Frontier AI is inside MP Fusion—not its opponent.
06

Independent creative Discovery

Look for a connection—not another item on a list.

A separate investigation explores different representations, mechanisms, and sometimes farther-away source fields.

A distant idea only remains useful when its causal feature can be mapped to the receiver problem and its new burdens stay visible. A genuine connection may still have prior art; usefulness is not the same as invention.

Example: ADB humidity and condensate

Museum conservation suggested a distinction between adding controlled moisture and isolating collected liquid water. Discovery B also found older horticultural analogues and did not assert broad novelty. Challenge later deepened the source evidence. The useful result is a more precise crop-and-cart comparison—not a newly invented physical mechanism.

07

Constructive Synthesis

The added idea may be the relationship between existing ones.

Synthesis asks whether two findings change one another's meaning, applicability, or value.

UNDP example

Two instruments can agree and still measure different things.

Before comparing positions, name the physical object, reference surface, offset, calibration, and shared dependencies behind each observation. Agreement alone does not create ground truth.

08

Two independent Challenge perspectives

Correction can narrow, reject, restore, or leave unresolved.

Causal and evidentiary review

Does the claim follow from the evidence?

Tests measurement meaning, counterexamples, dependencies, validity, and scientific overreach.

Receiver and operational review

Would the claim matter in the real setting?

Tests implementation burden, receiver needs, practical fit, economics, and ordinary comparators.

Final reconciliation compares the arguments; it does not tally votes or fabricate bad ideas for Challenge to defeat.

09

Challenged-out claims and useful Residue

A failed claim may still contain something worth preserving.

UNDP · Agreement is not ground truth

Still useful: complementary instruments plus a measured-object and offset specification.

Could change the decision: independent survey truth and dependency-aware evaluation.

Photocentric · Universal cleanup fails

Still useful: stream-specific membrane testing and earlier separation of a cleaner intermediate.

Could change the decision: measured selectivity, flux, product loss, and recovery for a named stream.

ADB · A warming trace does not assign blame

Still useful: inspection triggers, fleet trends, and a fault-neutral replacement policy.

Could change the decision: cause-discriminating measurements or affordable spare capacity.

10

Passport-style lineage

Follow the decision trail—without claiming invisible events.

The customer-facing record follows reported stage outputs, sources, candidate relationships, Challenge effects, and changed dispositions.

  • It is a witness and trace—not an authorization or security engine.
  • It records reported output lineage; it does not reconstruct private model thoughts.
  • It does not turn provenance into experimental validation or security certification.

The result a customer can read

One integrated R&D investigation.

The reader should not have to reconstruct separate stage conversations.

Executive interpretation

The starting problem, what materially changed, which directions deserve attention, and what the investigation cannot establish.

Technical landscape

Competing mechanisms, conditions for applicability, evidence strengths, proposed discriminating tests, and commercial dependencies.

Fates and provenance

Traceable origins, Challenge effects, narrowed claims, useful Residue, reconsideration conditions, and unanswered questions.

Evidence and execution limits for the four demonstrations

These four demonstrations were delivered through prompt-based frontier-AI sessions using public problem statements and lawful public information. That delivery record does not establish portability across hosts or confidential customer environments, software-enforced permissions, security certification, measured product performance, validated ROI, or general superiority to frontier AI. Different models, settings, hosts, and customer information require separate testing.
